You
can say that I have literally been involved in the real estate
profession since the 1960's when I would file my dad's listings
each week in the file box, go with him when he listed a home,
and knock on the walls to make sure they were lath and plaster
and not that new-fangled dry wall. I followed my dad's footsteps
and became a realtor in California in 1976 with the same company
he was with.
I came for a long weekend visit to Colorado Springs in the early
spring of 1983 and came home with a contract on 20 acres and a
1929 log home in the Black Forest. Talk about a souvenir of my
visit! In 1984 we started construction on our Lodge
Log Home and spent the next 6 years finishing it. In January
of 1990 we opened up our home to visitors as the Black
Forest Bed & Breakfast. I became an associate broker with
the Rawhide Company,
REALTORS, in 1986.
I have found that being an innkeeper and a realtor is a synergistic
relationship. As an innkeeper, I am the host that introduces Colorado
hospitality to our visitors. As a realtor, I help them realize
their dream of living here. The natural beauty of our area does
the rest. Many of my real estate clients were first bed and breakfast
guests. They have since become neighbors, friends, business associates,
and family.
I bring a lot of "been there, done that" when I help
my clients. I have had personal as well as professional experience
from buying land and building your own home, to owning and operating
a successful B&B. Let me use my experience in helping you
realize your Colorado dream.
