The Southeast Area

Southeast Colorado Springs is another are of extensive development activity in both the residential and industrial spheres. And with Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases and Fort Carson, it is the part of the town most influenced by the city's substantial military presence.

The Colorado Springs municipal airport is located in the Southeast and is the focus of a concentration of modern industrial facilities which have encouraged growth of moderately priced new home developments in the surrounding areas.

Security, Fountain and Widefield are suburban communities to the south of Colorado Springs proper which are growing along with their larger neighbor and extend the Southeast area.
